OFFICIAL ENGAGEMENTS
The Director-General attended an
International Conference marking the 75th anniversary
celebrations of South African Institute of International Affairs. He
presented a paper titled: Africa and the Great Powers. The
event took place in Johannesburg from September 16-17, 2009.
The Director-General attended an
International Conference in Shanghai, China titled: The Transition
of International System and the outlook on the 4th Forum
on China-Africa Co-operation (FOCAC). The Director-General
presented a paper on The African Perspectives on China-Africa
Relations and FOCAC. The conference was held in Shanghai from
August 28-29, 2009.
The
Director General attended an International Conference on EU-Africa
Strategic Agenda: Think Tank Networking in Lisbon, Portugal on
September 13, 2007.
The
Director General attended a Training Workshop organized for the
staff of
Fredrich Ebert Foundation in Accra, Ghana from October 1-3,
2007.
On the April 2, 2008, the Director
General attended a conference in Brussels on 'Prospects for the EU-AU
Partnership: Institutional Aspects'. The conference was under the
auspices of EARN.
The Director General attended a conference in Copenhagen on "Human
Rights and State Building". The conference took place on April 22,
2008.
