DIRECTOR-GENERAL'S MESSAGE
I
welcome you to the website of the Nigerian Institute of
International Affairs [NIIA] - Nigeria's foremost think-tank on
foreign affairs.
The
first of its kind in Africa, the NIIA is a Center of excellence for
the scientific study of international relations. It seeks to
promote a deeper understanding of Nigeria's foreign
policy, international relations, and global cultures and
peoples. This is accomplished through painstaking research, national
and international conferences and seminars, workshops and public
lectures on crucial issues in world affairs. As the world
re-integrates into a global village in the twenty-first century with
attendant challenges posed in the process, the Institute is
re-positioned to address them.
At
the Institute, we encourage an open exchange of ideas, cooperation
and collaboration with individuals and corporate bodies (including
governments) in the process of shaping policy and enhancing the
understanding of world affairs. Welcome to our website.
